Get more value with existing Dynamics AX tools

Extending Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Cookbook is a great collection of recipes allowing you get more value from Dynamics AX with already available tools. The easy to follow recipes can save you a lot of time figuring out how to setup and use these tools.
The recipes are based on real business scenarios and rather than just explaining how a single tool works, you get to know how sets of tools can be applied together to address these scenarios. The business scenarios makes it very clear to me that the author has many years of field experience, which just makes it more interesting.

I've been reading this book ([...] over the last week and it's a nice well written book. The book covers some areas of Dynamics AX that isn't well documented, so it gives a good introductions. If you want to start using workflows, rolecenter etc. this book gives you a very good starting point. After reading this book you'll be able to set it up and use it.
If you are an intermediate Dynamics AX capacity it will definitely bring you new knowledge. If you are a senior functional consultant you won't find anything here that you can't figure out yourself.
As a developer I can definitely use the book to understand the functionality before I start develop modification in these areas. The book on the other hand doesn't go deep into the AOT and doesn't cover the development side. There is nothing in the book covering more difficult scenarios or how to approach troubleshooting when exploring these areas. Working as an administrator I'm definitely missing the deeper experience from the author regarding common errors and glitches you will experience when running this in a production environment.
As stated this is a book for the Dynamics AX administrator or functional consultant there want to start using and understand new sides of Dynamics AX.
