About the Author
Ralph Fischer ist Inhaber und Cheftrainer der M.A.A.F. Schwenningen und betreibt seit �ber 35 Jahren verschiedene Kampfsport und Kampfkunstsysteme. Er begann seine Kampfsport/Kampfkunst-Ausbildung im Alter von 10 Jahren mit dem westlichen Ringen. Hier wurde er bereits nach 2 Jahren Training in die zweite Bundesliga vom AB-Aichhalden verpflichtet und unter Vertrag genommen. Unter anderem erlernte er auch 3,5 Jahre lang das Wing Tsun Kung Fu bis in die Oberstufe. Aber auch mit Boxen, Ju.Jutsu, Judo und Karate hat er sich eine Zeit lang besch�ftigt, bis er den Weg zum Jeet Kune Do und Inosanto Kali fand. Er ist Diplom Fachsport-P�dagoge besitzt mehrere Instruktor- und Pr�ferlizenzen f�r Jeet Kune Do, Inosanto-Kali, Brazilian Ji-Jitsu, Kickboxen und MMA und ist berechtigt selbst Lehrer in Kickboxen und MMA auszubilden. Seit 2013 vertritt er noch die �mter als Sportdirektor und Bundestrainer f�r MMA und Grappling. In seiner Wettkampflaufbahn, wo er �ber 350 K�mpfe im Ringen und Kickboxen bestritt, konnte er mehrere nationale und Internationale Titel erk�mpfen. Auch an drei Weltrekorden hat er erfolgreich teilgenommen. Im Jahr 2009 wurde er von einem Internationalen Kampfkunst Magazin zum Instruktor of the Year gew�hlt und in einem Internationalen Buch mit einer Action Sammelkarte abgelichtet und in die Hall of Fame aufgenommen. 2010 wurde er dann erneut f�r seine 30 J�hrige Arbeit als Wettk�mpfer und Trainer mit der Hall of Fame Aufnahme ausgezeichnet. Im Jahr 2013 wurde er von Europas bekanntester Ruhmenshalle f�r verdiente Kampfsportler, der Munich Hall of Honour als Botschafter der Kampfk�nste zum Instructor of the Year gew�hlt und zusammen mit Cynthia „Lady Dragon" Rothrock ausgezeichnet. Im April 2014 wurde seine �beraus erfolgreiche Academy ebenfalls f�r Ihre Leistungen unter anderem WM, EM, und DM Titel im Amateur und Profibereich von der Munich Hall of Fame geehrt und ausgezeichnet. Von 2008 bis zum Jahr 2011 unterrichtete er noch zus�tzlich als Dozent f�r Selbstverteidigung an der Volkshochschule Villingen-Schwenningen. Grade 9 Up—Samantha Kingston has worked her way up the popularity ladder; now a senior, she and her three best friends rule their school. On Cupid Day, Sam expects to receive Valentine roses, to party with her friends, and to finally (maybe) have sex with her equally popular boyfriend. The last thing she expects is that she will die, but in the final moments of her life, as she hears "a horrible, screeching sound—metal on metal, glass shattering, a car folding in two," everything turns to nothing. Only, it is not the end for Sam. She wakes up to start the same day over again, and again; in fact, she relives it seven times. At first, being dead has its advantages, as she realizes that nothing worse can happen to her. She first conducts herself with reckless abandon, seducing her math teacher and smoking marijuana. It is difficult to feel pity for Sam; she is snobbish, obnoxious, a cheater, and just plain mean. However, her gradual and complete transformation is so convincing that when she finally puts others before herself in order to save another life, it is moving and cathartic. The deepening relationship between Sam and Kent, her childhood friend, is sensitively described and the most complex and compelling relationship in the story. Although somewhat predictable, the plot drives forward and teens will want to see where Sam's choices lead. Haunting, heartbreaking, beautiful

Friday, February 12th should be just another average day for popular, beautiful Samantha Kingston. But it's far from it--her ride home after a late-night party ends in a car accident, only when Sam wakes up, it's Friday, February 12th again. Forced to re-live the last day of her life seven times, Sam struggles to understand the meaning behind these experiences and the significance in her own life and actions. Because only when she can get her last day exactly right will she ever be able to take the next step.

With keen insights and startling candidness, Lauren Oliver's debut novel is a frank, if not at times brutal look at high school social circles and the careless cruelties and bullying that occurs on a daily basis. Sam is one of the mean girls, and she shrugs off her biting words and actions as something that just happens, collateral damage of living through high school. But through every complex and carefully plotted event, Oliver peels back the layers of Sam's life and teaches us all that every little deed has a consequence, and no act goes unnoticed. Though Sam is by no means a likable character at the beginning of the novel, as her character is revealed and she learns a thing or two about the things she has done in her life and the person she has become, she morphs into a true, selfless, and caring heroine, despite her many flaws. The story line is addicting and suspenseful. and as each "day" passes and Sam begins to get things right, the question that has been looming in the back of your mind since the end of the first chapter--What will happen to Sam?--becomes more and more urgent. Oliver is skillful at wielding suspense and heartbreak, making you think hard about the value of your own life and actions.

Before I Fall is a haunting and beautiful book. It will float around at the back of your mind long after you've read it.

I really enjoyed reading "Before I Fall

I really enjoyed reading "Before I Fall." It was thought-provoking, and I truly feel that Lauren Oliver has a skill for communicating the voice of young adults without seeming like she is trying too hard. Many authors come across as fake because they don't have the skill that Ms. Oliver does.
I always know when I've ready a great book because I continue to think about it for days or weeks after. I care for the characters and I grew with them.

This book was alright. I felt it was pretty jumbled and not very clearly written. I did enjoy it but it didn't make me feel any different about life or anything like many of the other books I've read. I felt that all of the characters (except for Kent and Juliet) weren't described good enough and I couldn't picture them. All together this book was okay. Not a book I would read again.

I just love the games of David Bronstein. Mr. Giddens is a marvelous teacher that explains the difficult moves created by genius; in this case the Great Bronstein. He will help you navigate through the labyrinth of variations in a clear informative and engaging style that will have you truly appreciating the beauty of Chess and of course shining a light on a very great chess payer. 5 stars.

I am really bad about writing reviews

I am really bad about writing reviews, I never get around to doing it, tho I at least always try to rate all the books I read.
But after reading a few negative reviews about this author and her books, I actually felt the need to write this one.
I'm not a nurse, and I don't work directly in the ER, but I do work in the laboratory (and have more than a few friends that deal with the craziness of the emergency room). So for someone who knows how it can be, I think these books are fantastic. I'm actually kind of addicted to all of Kerry's books. I have seen some reviewers talk about her "bad language" or "inappropriate stories", but hello...its "REAL stories from a small-town ER", not "Edited for content stories from a small-town ER". As for privacy, she states in the beginning of all of her books that things are changed to protect the privacy of those involved in any story. The same thing every author does when writing a memoir type book.
Alright, I know this review is now sounding more like a defense for the author, than a review of the book, and I apologize for that. But if you work in a hospital (especially nurses and ER employees), or you love medical memoir stories, then you will love these books! An extremely entertaining, quick read.

As usual, I loved this book. I know you asked for follow-up if any misprint or mistake is found. Near the end of the stories, in the one about the guy who was high on something, and claimed he saw a Minotaur in his bedroom, you stated, or the misprint did that his ETOH level was 10.1. Therefore he was not drunk on alcohol. I thought this was funny, knowing what it should have been......anyway, Kerry, keep the books coming and I will continue to read them, thanks.

KERRY DOES IT AGAIN! WHOO HOO!

These books were SUPPOSED to help me sleep....Not so much! They're too interesting to put down.
I had no idea, nor appreciation for what the "Registration Lady" did, but now, my whole perspective has changed. In fact, although I've been sick a bit, cancers, etc, I've always been cordial to Admissions.
As a retired cop, I've seen the ugliness of many people and I believe my self-professed "Long Fuse" would be snipped to the size of a matchstick. So before you come hell "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" I'd have smacked that teenage Bible Bully upside the head, thus ending a two, three-day maximum career.
Last Sunday, I was Squaded (yes, I made that word up) to a small Ohio Hospital with chest pain and difficulty Breathing.
Unlike our Bible Bullies, I really am a Christian and this happened just as I pulled up too late for church after detours took Mr, I think through Wyoming. The Medic nailed my IV entourage route first try. WOW! That NEVER HAPPENS. I cheered too soon.
The needed a second one for a specific test. 25+ misses. and blown veins later (had to be a 20 gauge, one FINALLY made it in! I have a high pain tolerance, so while three were working at once, I grew USED TO IT!
In report, I was described as 52yo Female, great makeup, very funny. I was very flattered. My point is, sorry, this isn't about me, I got to HEAR a LOT of screaming and yelling while I was being turned into a sieve. (Post note, that 2nd IV was...wait for it...NEVER USED! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Poor Kerry, she's underpaid if she's making six figures! No one should take that kind of abuse. At least as a cop, my "customers" we're always wrong and I COULD lose my temper! She has to play nice all the time. Pass the Demerol!
I've never seen anything borderline racist or hear her put someone down, but PEOPLE, YOU TRY AND DO HER JOB! You wouldn't last 5 minutes!
KERRY, I hope these books are great therapy for you and make you piles of cash!
Pray for the too big ascending aortic aneurysm they found, and I just have to wonder " Which hospital do you work in?"
