A Swift and Wholly Entertaining Read.

I was shocked by how funny this story actually was. I was expecting some crazy erotica and there were some crazy erotica scenes but this story was such a teardown of celebrity culture. I can see this as an awesome video series with these acted out in real life. I've read all of Anastasia Angelique's stories and this one was the most graphic and it was very over the top and hilarious. It was a little more than I'd like to pay for a short story but worth every penny many times over.

Lance Has Been Called for These Times - Great Insight

I have followed Lance Wallnau for years and have considered him to be a prolific voice for an effective Kingdom culture. His perspective in this book forces people to step back and see the panorama of what may be going on in the unraveling of America. He rightly mentions the leaders of the past who we now hold in high regard, but Christians were not fond of in the present time. Trump is someone that you have to see with a unique lens. You have to at least consider what Lance is saying, as there is no question our whole country's future is at stake here.

Just disagreeing and doing nothing is not an answer if you disagree with this book. God always has a direction for the people of God. No one is saying Trump as a person is the answer to our nation's problems, but Lance has gleaned into something where he may be spot on. The whole system has been shaken by a man who has been willing to bring his tattered personal past into the picture, take the hits, but still press in for change. If you disagree with Lance's perspective, it would be awesome if you could reveal what your perspective of answers can be for this next season, beyond just praying, hoping, but doing nothing.

Although Trump is not a born-again Christian, I have always heard Mr. Trump show a consistent record of respecting Judeo/Christian values, even when he struggled to personally follow them.

This book may stretch a lot of Christians, because it causes them to become moved beyond their typical mode of how they vote or even see politics. The political scene is filled with ugly tactics and two second sound bites that change the perspective, based on key thoughts that have their basis on lies and misconstrued statements. Lance helps you get clarity on the issues and not get swayed by the day to day games that get played.

Whatever happens in this election season, I am thankful for Lance's voice. He's sharpening the church to wake up to a higher calling and to see with greater vision in how we can be effective.

Even if you disagree with the book, you can be encouraged to act for Kingdom change where he says, "You may be the lowest ranking person on the ship, but if you're the only believer, you are the highest ranking spiritual authority."

I believe it's time we use our authority to make a difference.

Truly a MUST READ, HARD TO PUT DOWN, BOOK

I'm only about 2/3 of the way through this book and felt compelled to write this review now versus waiting until I'm done.
I am someone who used to shy away from politics. Having only followed Dr Lance via social media (including Periscope) for just over a year, I've gone from being repulsed by anything political to, now I can't get away from it even when I try. I have a strong passion for the truth and for the American church to wake up and SEE before it's too late.
I remember reading about Dr Lance's experiences going to Trump Towers last year for meetings. I read those accounts to my friend I carpool with and literally felt like I'd been in those meetings. (This is included in the book).
If you're not familiar with who Dr Lance Wallnau is, I can tell you that what he's written is not some off the wall, prophetic word for "itching ears". This is a well thought out, researched book that provides biblical context and principles to today's current Presidential election, Mr. Trump's role, including the church and how we have a part to play.

Also, if you're someone like me who couldn't stand politics, but you love our country and concerned about our future, perhaps not sure what to think of our current candidates, confused by who or what to believe thanks to what is reported and spun by the spin doctors, mainstream media - then this book is for you!

Loved The Book!
I have been with Mr. Trump since the beginning. After hearing and seeing what has been going on in America, I felt that we needed someone who would do something to change things around instead of "turning the other cheek" as the rest in the government has done. Actually, they have sat on both cheeks while so many things that are going wrong in America keep getting progressively worse. After listening to other Christians telling those who support Mr. Trump that they are not really Christians, I believe that this book explains a lot about what is going on in America and with Mr. Trump. In some ways, the words in this book help me feel vindicated. This book is not just for the Christian, but is a must read for all who love America and do not want to lose our way of life. This is a very important election, so buy the book, read it and be an informed voter.

About the Author

Ray T. Malbrough was born in New Orleans and was raised in the "Pays des Cajuns" Region of southeastern Louisiana. He learned the basics of hoodoo in his early teens with the permission and encouragement of his mother. At age 19, he started working in a New Orleans tearoom as a reader/advisor, and has since earned a good reputation as a Hoodoo worker all over the region surrounding his hometown of Houma. He is a 1982 graduate of the Seax-Wica Seminary founded and directed by Dr. Raymond Buckland. The author is active in the parapsychology Association in Thibodeaux, Louisiana. Today, Ray is a full time reader/advisor and hoodoo worker in his home in Houma.

Meh ok

Eh, it's OK. It's more of a white lighter version of hoodoo. Still not totally bad for a beginner to hoodoo, but I found all the warnings against cursing just to sickly sweet for my tastes.

Great recipes though so that alone is worth the buy but what can you expect from Llewellyn?

Anyway Ray pretty much strips away the Catholic teachings of hoodoo and simply gives the spellwork.

Someone who is coming from a different magical system may find this book useful if they already understand the basics of magic.

This book isnt really for complete beginners to magic. So don't think it's going to explain in great detail such as "use herb x because blank".

Great Little Book

I really like this book as it explains for those who don't already know how this "magick stuff" works and it's a refresher course for those of us who do...and its recipes are relied on by several shop owners, including by her own admission, Miss Catherine Yronwode However, unlike Miss Cat, it explains things in a way I, having been raised Irish-Catholic, can understand. I am a strange mix of Druid and Irish Catholic. I pray to the saints, as I just can't deal with the Pagan idea of praying to Egyptian/Greek/Roman Gods/Goddesses. My patron saints are Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Dymphna, Saint Maximilian Kolbe, Saint Nikolai II the New Martyr and Passion Bearer, and the soon-to-be canonized (as of April 27th, 2014) Pope John Paul II.

I'd recommend this book as a magickal recipe book for any serious practitioner of magick.

I recently purchased this book to get a thorough understanding of motorcycle mechanics and repair/troubleshooting. Far from it! The title itself "The Complete Guide to Motorcycle Mechanics" should read "The Incomplete Guide .. .". This book is very top level and lacks technical content in every respect. The topics are brief and contain hardly any meaniful substance. You'll be asking yourself "where's the beef". Plus, all of the photo's are in black & white and alot are of poor quality. In my opinion I would not be surprised if this book was written by a bunch of high school students doing a last minute class project hoping to squeak by with a "D" - like "D" for Done. The retail price (no fault of Amazon) is way over-priced. You're better off looking at other books or stick to your favorite motorcycle magazine that covers "how to's". You'll learn more with them in a few pages than you will reading this book. Bottom line, pass up this book and buy something else through Amazon. After all they are the best!

Deisgned fo a particular task, not for the masses..

As a graduate of MMI, I know the book well. It was designed to supplement the lecture given in the first 6 weeks of school. It was written at a very basic level, since many MMI students have no prior experience (that's why they're in school), and students would be overwhelmed by too much technical information in the first 6 weeks of what is 13 months of training. The book is not useful as an informational tool for a non-student, and is priced high due to limited distribution (check the price of an average college textbook- same reason.) The book is the right tool for it's intended application (the MMI beginning student), but the wrong tool for anything else.

A very INCOMPLETE guide.

I, like the other reviewer, also attended MMI, the school that uses and produces this book. While attending that school, I complained to the director of education about how INCOMPLETE it was. It is very technical, has terrible pictures, and is badly in need of an update. I suggested to the school that they contract Hugo Wilson to write their next book (British writer, his books have fantastic illustrations.) In case you are wondering, despite the textbook, MMI is an excellent place to learn to fix motorcycles.

About the Author
Dr Isaac Golden has been in clinical practice since 1984. He soon saw a need to develop and research the effectiveness and safety of a long-term homœoprophylaxis (HP) program. His data collection from 1986 to 2004 led to him being awarded the first PhD in a homeopathic research topic from a mainstream Australian university. The book represents the gathering of nearly 30 years practical experience in both using and researching HP. Isaac was the first person to be awarded a PhD from a mainstream Australian University in a homeopathic topic. The is the author of 10 other books on homeopathy, and numerous articles. He founded his own College in 1990 - The Australasian College of Hahnemannian Homoeopathy, and has lectured internationally for many years on homeopathic immunisation.

Great book on Homeopathic Immunization

This is a great book on homeopathic immunization (homeoprophylaxis - HP). I am not a homeopath, and so I was a little concerned that it would be really dry, when I saw that it was the practitioner's manual. However, Dr. Golden does not get bogged down in difficult to understand topics. I thought the book was fascinating. Dr. Golden discussed short term and long term protection afforded by homeoprophylaxis and went through the evidence of it's use in the past. He also discussed his 15 year immunization plan used in Australia and the recent successful mass Cuban homeopathic immunization programs against Leptospirosis (2007 & 2008). The use of homeoprophylaxis (immunization with homeopathics rather than vaccinations (shots)) as an effective method of immunization is very compelling. Dr. Golden goes through and examines the evidence from several studies. If you are looking for double-blind randomized control studies you will not find them here. However HP has been used for centuries (yes centuries -homeoprophylaxis is only 2 years younger than traditional vaccinations).

Also contained in this book are the reactions to the HP program that the parents documented in their children. This was valuable information, showing that IF there was a reaction (98% of doses caused NO reaction) then most reactions were mild. Dr. Golden also explained clearly that all "reactions" were NEVER toxic or dangerous. He uses statistical analysis in his Australia program to show the safety of the program. Interestingly he showed that children immunized with HP were actually healthier than completely unvaccinated children and even those that received constitutional care by a homeopath. Obviously children who had been vaccinated by conventional means were the least healthy of the group, showing statistically significant correlations to asthma, eczema, & ear infections.

Dr. Golden explained some philosophy on the use of HP and even went through arguments that some homeopaths have against HP, being very thorough in his explanations why he is FOR it.

All in all, a very interesting and informative book that I highly recommend!

Very well researched, documented, and presented - thorough!

I am beginning to go further with my homeopathic education (i.e. past the 4th edition of the Organon), and therefore am less certain about using nosodes purely as prophylactic "treatment." However, I have family members that strongly requested information about homeoprophylaxis as an alternative to "traditional" vaccines for their children. They live in a state that reluctantly allows homeopathic nosodes to be used, and I'd FAR rather have them use those than the now-standard vaccines, so I'm providing the information to them. I chose to go through the book myself before providing it to them. And I'm highly impressed.

The book is clearly written, very detailed, and it's evident that there has been careful documentation by Dr. Golden in his work over the years. Explicit schedules are provided, and there is commentary about adjustments that may need to be made in some cases, and how to do it. If you believe that homeoprophylaxis is a legitimate option and alternative to vaccinating children (or adults), this is the most comprehensive method I've found in many years of searching. It's an excellent mix of theory and practice, highly detailed.

If someone doesn't believe homeopathy is legitimate, that's fine. I'm not here to argue that point, both because there won't be any "winner" in this type of forum anyway, and that is NOT what Amazon book reviews are for. If you believe that homeopathy is junk science, or want to argue that there's no amount of the original substance left at the dilutions involved here, don't bother. (By the way, the latest research includes photomicroscopy OF the substance in legitimate university settings in India.) I'm the original skeptic - no, change that to the original rude detractor. I attended my first presentation on homeopathy at a local health food store almost 30 years ago for pure comedy purposes only, having nothing better to do that night - already completely convinced that those stupid Latin names and number/letter combinations (such as 10x, 30c, etc.) were an absurd joke, totally scientifically unsupportable. But that was nearly 30 years ago. I won't even entertain a conversation on the efficacy of homeopathy. This is not the place for a "homeopathy works vs. homeopathy is a fraud" argument. The book - whether misguided or not - is WELL researched, well laid out, and quite clear. And that's what this review is about, not the efficacy of homeopathy itself. If you believe in it, the book is an excellent resource - perhaps the best of its kind. If you don't believe in it, why would you bother even reading a review, let alone the book itself?

Oh - and a 5-star review from us is not easy to get. A really, really good product typically gets a strong 4-star review. If we give it a 5-star review, it's because we believe it is, or is among, the very best of the best, standing far above most other similar product offerings.

Exactly as promised

This is a very specific and detailed guide to building immunity using homeopathy. Very well documented with extensive clinical information over very large population groups. If you're into natural approaches to health as a naturopath,acupuncturist, chiropractor or homeopath, or even a concerned parent, this is an important book.

One of the thoughts that sprang to my mind when I read Software Runaways by Robert Glass is that it is a good thing for the book, the author, and the publishing house that the world operates by Adam Smith's theories, where value is determined by supply and demand, instead of Karl Marx's, where value is determined by the work done. Perhaps that is a little too harsh, as Glass surely had to spend considerable time and energy compiling his articles, asking for permission to print, and lining up people to write their views on sundry topics. Nevertheless, it should be pointed out that a good portion of the book (half?) consists of articles culled from print media of widely ranging technicality (from IEEE Software to Computerworld to the Wall Street Journal). On the other hand, most of the book, including Glass's own writing, was very readable and sometimes humorous.

Disappointing, not very technical, and of sporadic interest

After reading the other reviews of this book, I expected to find a light read more likened to "America's Most Shocking Police Videos", but I was mostly disappointed.
The first series of articles on the Denver airport debacle (reportedly they set out to build the largest airport in the country but ended up with second-largest airport in Denver) made virtually no reference to software. The contractors of the baggage system ran into problems with physical access to the terminal, changing requirements, and uncooperative City officials, but they didn't discuss the software issues much. It was a typical political mess.
The story behind the FAA's failed air-traffic-control system was the most interesting technically, and the failed New Jersey DMV project was enlightening about using the wrong tool for the job.
The story on the failed California DMV system is *two pages* long, and they mention "unspecified software problems" as being involved. The story about the Adidas warehousing software failure was three pages long, and I did not find a single lesson to take from it. These do not look like any inside information to me.
This book was a fairly enjoyable four-hour read (really!) but it was not worth the $30 I spent on it. Borrow it from the library or a friend before spending yours.

Misleading...

This book suffers some major flaws, which are not well represented on the back cover or in the introduction.
1) The story telling is incredibly dull. The author desperately needs some lessons from Cringely.
2) The story telling is all third-hand. The author had no first hand experience in any of the disasters, nor did he bother to personally interview any of the participants. Instead, he simply compiled information from public media sources.
3) The story telling barely relates to software development at all. Many of the stories superficially relate management failures or legal battles with hardly a reference to the actual software projects/issues.
4) The story telling is often not even by the author himself! Some of the stories are simply reprints of professional journal articles by other authors. Tellingly, these are often the more (barely) interesting stories.
I think the book cover misrepresents the contents substantially. I felt sort of ripped-off. 2 stars only because it is one of the few books that collects a lot of this information in one place.

poor rehash of famous big-budget disasters

This book's subtitle is "Lessons Learned from Massive Software Project Failures." A more accurate subtitle would be "Assortment of InformationWeek articles written about costly failures that involved software." This is a shallow and superficial book. There is no original research, no original reporting, and no deep analysis.
Sometimes there are three separate articles on the same failed software project! This is pointless repetition, not any type of deeper analysis. It's like reading a xeroxed collection of articles, except it's in a glossy cover. The "author" writes a few paragraphs before and after each project.
The quantification, if there is any, involves the dollars exchanged in the settlement between the two companies. No numbers about anything technical ever appear.
This is a good book if you're a consultant and you want some scary stories to tell a CIO. If you want advice, read one of Steve McConnell's books.

Powerful concepts for life's priorities

This book is one of the basics for every library. Over the course of 20 years I have referred back again and again to the 7 Habits to help me prioritize and order the constantly changing reality of life. With all the myriad demands and challenges that life throws at me, I would prefer to choose my path rather than let life dictate it to me. This is a good read. The book has good ideas and is inspiring. I like motivational reads as it is hard to find any motivation in this world now a days from anyone. This author is thorough with his thoughts and ideas which can easily motivate and encourage one who needs a push in life. This book transformed the lives of presidents and ceos it states; I can definitely see how it did. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone as it has inspired, encouraged, and motivated me to become a more highly effective individual.

A must read for everyone!

This book is probably the tantamount self-help book, and the quality and breadth of the content is why. Every human being should read it. In fact, I wish I had read it when it first came out 25 years ago! I learned a great deal from the book and will re-read it for certain since all of the information is so content rich. The only part that I didn't like was the very end when he brought up "Christ" and kept talking about how essential that is in a person's life. If that's the case, then I guess the 7 Habits are not for Jewish people? He did mention other religions, but in a tertiary sense, though that leaves out non-believers. I just can't accept that the only way to lead a highly effective life is with religion. Other than that, the book is excellent, and as I mentioned, it deserves a second read to absorb is all (except the very last part).

Archosaurs, an important reptile group that includes todays crocodiles and birds, arose during the Triassic in the aftermath of the greatest mass extinction of all time. In the last 20 years, our understanding of the early evolution of the group has improved substantially with the discovery of new fossils and species of early archosaurs and their closest relatives, a better understanding of the relationships of these animals, and new insights into their palaeobiology. In order to synthesize these new data, researchers of early archosaurs from around the world met at the first symposium of early archosaur evolution at the IV Congreso Latinoamericano de Paleontolog�a de Vertebrados (September 2011) in San Juan, Argentina. This symposium facilitated collaboration and strove to paint a better understanding of these extraordinary animals. The resultant body of work is a state-of-the-art examination of early archosaur groups and their close relatives including historical, anatomical, biogeographical, evolutionary and palaeobiological data. This contribution furthers our knowledge of the anatomy, relationships, and palaeobiology of species-level taxa as well as more global patterns of archosaur evolution during the Triassic.
